About

A collaborative digitization initiative devoted to make Wisconsin's cultural heritage materials accessible to a wide audience of students, teachers, academics, genealogists, history lovers, and everyone who cares about our state and its richness of resources..

They collaborate with a statewide network of Content Providers, including academic libraries, public libraries, archives, museums, and historical societies, to digitize pictures, objects, manuscripts, books, articles, and sound recordings.

Wisconsin Library Services, the Milwaukee Public Library, the Milwaukee Public Museum, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Wisconsin Historical Society, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Division for Libraries, Technology, and Community Learning collaborated to create the program in 2005. The Nicholas Family Foundation gave significant financial support from June 2009 to May 2011.
